Question MPG for ported motor...

What's average mileage for a street ported n/a.

Right now I'm getting around 250 miles per tank @ 15 mpg.

What's everyone else with a street ported motor get?

correct me if I'm wrong people, but on stock timing shouldn't your fuel economy slightly improve ?

on stock computer and stock timeing.. bigger ports let more air in right?

the afm would account for more air and put in more fuel
there goes the gasmialage, well atleast i think thast how it happens

as for giving you any #'s i have no idea

If I stay out of it I can get over 350 miles per tank. (16 gal in the S4)

The way I drive, however, I get closer to 280-300 mixed city (aka jackrabbit starts at nearly every light) and Hwy. (passing people at 110 for giggles)

With my S4 ('86 5-spd), at about 110 mph, I rev around 4500 rpm's or so. That may also explain your lower gas mileage. And a stree-port should in fact lower it also. I live over 4k rpm's, so mine sux0rs!

cone filter, ported motor w/TII intermediate housing, gasket matched lower intake manifold, RB header, 2.5" single exhaust, walbro 255HP, s-afc, TB mod, e-fan, 2400lb car, loose nut behind the wheel. 8300rpm hesitation.

Soon to have 550cc secondaries.
