mounting points for lifting engine+tranny together?
can I just use the stock mounting points for lifting the engine and tranny together, or will they not support the 500+ punds they both weigh?
if I can't use those, what can I use to lift them together? any help would be great. thanks

I used the stock lifting points to lift my tranny and engine as one unit. Just make sure to get someone else to help push down on the transmission, so you don't scratch up your paint.
On the other hand, I removed my engine and tranny by myself and through some persuasion and large amounts of cussing, I was able to extricate the drivetrain without a dent nor scratch. I'm also rather patient...

excellent. thanks a lot.
and I don't have to worry about scratching the paint, because the car is already totalled. I'm just stealing its drivetrain(87 TII) to put in my N/A!!
