The TurboII is back on the road.. oh the joy
After months of agonizing, staring at my TurboII in storage for the winter and collecting the necessary parts to get it back in tip-top shape, it's finally back on the road.
I had to change out the rear wheel bearings, changed all 4 rotors (powerslot), all pads (hawk hps), new plugs, new fuel filter, 4 new Kumhos, an alignment, and finally an oil change after the winter.
But it's back now, and it's so great turning the wheel and actually going in the direction I'm turning, unlike my '92 Civic EX with the ORIGINAL suspension still on it, that thing is MUSH.
And literally like 30 seconds after I pull out of our apartment complex to take it to Raptor13x's house, this dude in a neon pulls next to me and goes "whoa man nice car!!! light it up!!" To which I reply "Sorry, it's got like 5 month old gas in it, and it's been sitting all winter".. he goes "ok" and I notice he's from Cleveland too (I'm stuck up in Michigan right now) and we talk for a while and go on our merry way.
But it's so great, the riceboys are out in full force.. me and Jim (Raptor13x) are planning on going rice hunting when he gets his MR2 finally finished (it's been almost a year now that he's been working on his 3SGTE swap). His car is supposed to run low 13's when it's ready (if he ever finishes the freaking thing.. his parents are going to KILL him for the time it's been in the garage). I'm probably in the high 13's now, ran 14.1 with crappy tires last year, figure I can break that this time around with the new tires and the cone filter. It's going to be great.. we'll just take turns trying to find the rice.. mmm...

Good to hear man. I plan on having my car back up and running within this week too. I just have to get a broken bolt out of my turbo and swap my new turbo in. I can't wait. Haven't had any boost in forever and I am fiending

Good job! I'm about a few weeks and $1000 from joining you. I'm sending out my engine to Pineapple tomorrow and I'm making a trip to Columbus to pick up a bunch of parts from the RX-7 store. I'll also have to drain the gastank, as the fuel is over a year old!

nevermind.. the ****** at school finally deleted my account.. I friggin' paid them $100,000 for all that tuition and they up and delete my account and now my files.. bastards.
Note to everyone else in the world: Do NOT go to Kettering University (used to be GMI).. it's not worth the extra hassle/extra $$

Oh man I wish I was even remotely close to being where you guys are. I've still got quite a ways to finishing up my car. I need about 1200 for the motor, and another 800 for clutch and fly. Not to metion the intercooler pipping. So hopefully it will be out this summer. But you never know....

I am completely done now just waiting on turbo before mine comes out... It is going to be soooo tough to keep her below 4k without boost for 1000miles!!! But when she turns over that 2000mile mark then i am going to have some FUN! Mine should be ready next tuesday!

Lucky to everyone...............I am the lucky owner of a TII that needs a new engine because of those damn coolant seals! That is what I found when I went to pull mine out!
So I am stuck driving my Integra for awhile until I can get enough money for the rebuild. (wasnt planning on it cause my engine only had 13k)
So, if everyone could post pics of their cars that would be great!
