Motoria Dual Exhaust from SSAutoChrome - a review
While doing research recently for this exhaust I found a lot of words, but not a lot of pictures or specifics. I hope this will help out someone looking for information to make a decision with.
I went head long and bought the exhaust from SSAutoChrome on ebay for $335 shipped, and it was at my door a week later (ship time only 4 days, I ordered on a friday, shipped monday even though they said tuedsday). Overall the buying experience was great.
The initial impression of the exhaust is that it is well engineered. The welds all look like they got good penetration. The hangers all seem to be reinforced where necessary. The mufflers have the name stamped into the case, and not on a welded-on tag. Given the coloration from the welding, it seems that every portion of the exhaust is stainless, including the weld fillament. Some specs:
-2.25" piping
-3.75" tips
-3/8" Flanges
Interesting note: the mufflers do not have ther perforations all the way down the center (I tried to take a picture below). They only go about halfway down the core of the muffler. It will be interesting to see what effect this has on sound output. I imagine it will be somewhat loud, only because they included silencers (which are fitted to go deep inside the muffler tip. nice.).

They tend to hang crooked when all is said and done. I know mine did before I modified it and whenever I see a droopy muffler on one side of a 7 - tends to be this system.
The system IS loud but I kind of like it. Since its under $400 - one can overlook a few things. I purchased the turbo back system so its a hell of a deal. BTW Silencers are for pussies.
I have had my system on for a while and just this weekend I removed the Y-pipe and resonator so that I could do some work to the rear end of the car. The system has just started to rust at the flanges and almost all of the tubing from the turbo back has discolored but its holding up well.

Well, I may be up for selling mine.
It is on the loud side and that is not what I was hoping for. I think a few years ago I would have been fine with it, but I am looking for something more mellow. I would like to try and get sound clips up so people can listen. Maybe as soon as tomorrow.
I like the tone, but the volume is a little much. Surprisingly, though, at WOT 7k+ rpm it's not that loud, just in the 2.5k - 4k range.

The sound clip above was great -- I have not had my car started since I installed the exhaust, so I've been a bit worried about that bee in a can noise. It doesn't sound too bad and at least from the clip above, the volume doesn't seem terrible either.
Looking forward to pushing some spent gases through mine!

i have the rb full exhaust and very pleased...i liked the loud exhaust at onepoint but believe me it gets very old and annoying when cruzing on high ways...i put 2 big ricer mufflers on the stock t2 exhaust and it gave me headaces... pay the extra $$ for quality and you will stay happy..just my opinion

personally it looks nice and not priced to bad and I love loud exhaust... I have always been a fan of striat pipes on all cars.!!! (all that deserve them i.e. turbo cars, hot rods etc)

I'm pretty impressed. After buying the RB catback my only reservation in not buying this after seeing this thread is the cannister style. I love the stock look of the RB system. As for the system hanging crooked. It is most likely a hanger problem. I installed the RB and it was crooked as well. Most people end up bending the hangers to get them to fit. But I used a combination of old and new donut hangers to get them even

Motira Single Exit (left side, driver side) Exhaust
Video.
Stock downpipe, stock cat.
High idle due to starting temp... died a few times... still trying to trouble shoot the swap, idles a little high (1400 rpm). Last 20 secs was the best ideal sound that could resemble real sound..
Exhaust is loud but not too bad... video doesnt do it justice since its kind right in the line with the exhaust and may sound louder than it really is.

Those thinking about this exhaust just to save a few hundred over racing beat... you'll be really happy you saved all that cash when your muffler cracks.
Right where it gets perfectly flat on the edge of the can is where it splits. Then the steel packing starts falling out. These mufflers are insanely loud. Even with the Motoria pre-silencer and muffler restricter.
The restricter fit so sloppy it was jb welded in. Never blew out either, that stuff is strong!
I bought the FC setup, because I bought the same setup for my FD. oh man, the FD exhaust was so much better. probably made by a different warehouse. The muffler was totally unbaffled and the silencer fit so tight I didn't think I was going to be able to line up the screw hole. even the hardware for the silencer was stainless steel. Now that exhaust sounded pure sex. It was loud, but sounded like a jet was taking off on the street.

I have the other dual exhaust from the same company with the smaller canisters and I've never had a problem with cracking. I think I've had it for a year now. Might be the Motoria mufflers.
The Corksport midpipe and downpipe will work with the exhaust also. Well the 80mm stuff does.

I was going to try the exhaust because I actually liked the look. I'll give Motoria a call and ask them just for the 80MM cat-back that'll work with my Corksport stuff.
If it cracks, beleive me, I'll let you all know about it. I'll give it a try, worst comes to worse I'll just use one of my other cat-backs.
