motor simplification

Any ideas on what I can delete emission related from my 88 T2. The car is stock. Im droping a used motor and tranny i just bought to freshen the car up a little. I was going to delete the cats, and any thing else I could get away with. Adding a computer and boost controller would be great but I didn't want to get ahead of my self. any advice would be appreciated.

info

thanks for the link. I check the archives first next time. This is my first T2. I had my head in FD's for the last 10 yrs and even though there are alot of things that are similar, there are also alot of things that are diffrent. Any personal suggestions for computer mods without going with a full blown microtech or equivilent. I would like to turn up the boost alittle.
