Motor mounts Checkers sold me, WTF?!?

These are the motor mounts I got from Checker. I checked the book and everything, and they are supposed to be the right ones.

After about 3 hours of trying to seat my motor last night, I pulled the damn things off, and put the old ones back on.

THese CANT be the right ones, can they?

The angles on those are WAY off. An FC's motor mounts should look like 1 solid bolt, running in a straigh line, with the rubber around it. Like in wan's picture.

Those look like they angle off at 45º or so. Take em back

Those look a lot like the mounts on my old 2nd gen probe. Definately NOT for a fc.

haha... Those are the crossmember rubber mounts for the transmission. you can't see them from the bottom of the car, but if you take the tranny out you'll see two blocks, one on each side of the crossmember that supports the tranny. They are square and look EXACTLY like that.

They're much too large to be the transmission mounts. The 45 degree mounts on the tranny are only about the size of a golfball.

Shoot man, I dunno. I took the stupid things back, then proceeded to tell the people to put the pipe down and step away from the crack..

What a complete waste of an evening....

Hmmm...Lets think about that....

Because they were in stock, and I needed them badly? The dealer couldnt get them in time....

And they were almost $100 for the set.

yeah, lesson learned. Not too mention all the **** that got broken trying to seat those stupid *** mounts.

Nothing like getting owned by a set of ******* motor mounts. Sheesh..

I went to another local import store, to see what listing they had, and they had the SAME FREAKING MOUNTS listed!!

I told them to take a long walk off a short pier...

You said:

Not so....those mounts don't even resemble FC tranny mounts.

IF you're crazy hardcore, you can weld your stock motor mounts to make them solid . however you will experience more vibration through the steering wheel.
