shifter bushing?? Im so lost!
I went to relace the shifter bushing yesterday, and I am not sure if I have all I need, i haev the gasket and a small circle ruber piece with a metal ring that fits on top, but then the metal part that actually bolts to the car has a rubber seal on top of it that is all destroyed.. can I purchase this rubber seal as well, or do I have to get the whole metal part ( it seems to be glued to the metal part. Hmm anyone who has replaced this please help me out, *lol*

Not to be a jerk, but I would have thought you'd have figured out where to buy it from the link. Mazdatrix sells the both upper and lower sets, unlike Mazda who claims the lower set doesn't exist...Yet mazdatrix's package is clearly OEM mazda!
Use the first link and this link to pick/buy the parts:

I installed them in the summer, it was a bit irritating, but not that big a deal.

I'd go to the Mazda dealer and get the parts. You don't pay shipping that way.
You will need an inner boot (the metal part with the rubber seal), two bushings (I use two white ones - it works JUST FINE, they are always in stock at my local dealer), and two springs. Also a good time to replace the "middle" boot set if need be. That's the series of three other rubber boots that seal off everything.

Haven't we ALL heard this
I got my stuff from mazdatrix also. Try mazdaformance.com for good prices.
I bought an outer boot also because mine was shot. It was fun putting that in there. However, it really sealed up my car. I had to use a little more effort to shut the door. Weird eh>?

Cuz last time i replaced it i couldent figure out how to do. I just had to lift up the metal braket and work the rubber into it and it was a major pain in the ***
But hey compared to some jobs this is nothing

I just replaced my shifter bushings last weekend. I got mine from mazdatrix. The blue and white bushings are a little different thicknesses. Not sure if that makes a difference, but they are not identical. After they were installed the shifter fealt alot tighter, but it now transmits a little bit of vibration. Almost feels like a new cars shifter now.

I'll have a Coke!
yeah, replacing the shifter bushings is fun . When you get your "rubber" piece make sure you use some "lub" so it will fit over your shift "shaft" . It's a "tight" fit, but it will make it.

My lower bushing desintegrated. I had to get back on the road, so I made a new lower bushing from a scarp 1.25" PVC adapter using a hacksaw, a file, a Dremmel, and an hour.
