Most importance Aftermarket Gauges for an N/A?
Well as soon as I get the bugger up and running again I'm getting some A/M gauges to keep an eye on things better.
First on the list is an Oil Pressure gauge.
What else should I get, I'm going to get three now, and then later this year, three more I guess.
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
Air/Fuel mixture
or
Oil Pressure
Water Temp
Voltage
Suggestions are great because I have no idea.

Oil pressure, oil temp, water temp.
You have a volt meter in your stock cluster. And unless you're talking about a wideband air/fuel gauge, the narrow isn't as important as the three I listed.

you dont need to add any more guages. youve got all you need in the stock cluster. volts, oil press., water temp., fuel.... its like my buddy with his s10. its just an s10, and he has all the normal guages in his stock cluster... volts, press., temp, fuel... but the idiot goes out and puts some aftermarket guages in... guess what gauges he puts in, yeah, volts, oil press., and temp. looks stupid. so now he has 2 of each guage??? i mean. unless your car is heavily modded i wouldnt put any guages in. i could see maybe a air/fuel guage and vaccuum pressure guage, but thats about it

Question number two, are these typically easy DIY, or is it more so, DIY if you know what your doing, other wise have a shop do it becuase your just going to get metal shavings in the oil pan and ruin the engine....

Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and H2O Temp are definitely the big three. Those are the things which will kill your engine.
A/F is a waste w/o a wideband. It's worse than an idiot light.
If you are running a radical (heavily modded) engine setup, I would possibly suggest a Fuel Pres. gauge after that.

Oil Pressure gauge is not workin in the stock cluster. Also, I'm told factory gauges (across the board) are unrelible and prone to failure.

For water temp you can just use one of the drain plugs on the front iron, hex key plug, and put the sender in there. That's what I did and it worked very well.
