More wiring questions

Alrigh, so after cutting what appears to be dead wires I originally thought that the chassis wiring is in good shape. So checked the engine bay for any shorts and blown fuses, plugged a battery in..

And nothing. No lights, no beeps, nothing.
I also noticed for the first time that the fuel gauge is stuck on full, even when a battery isn't connected.

Suggestions on what this could mean would be greately appreciated.

If the fuel guage is stuck on full, and there's no power, i'm guess that the cluster might be blown. Does this connect the CPU?

The fuel gauge gets its signal from the float in the tank.. If it goes through the CPU is something I cant answer..

Stupid question.. If you have no power, did you check your MAIN fuse?

Yeah i checked that! To my surprise the fuse seems okay. I'm going to go over everything with a voltmeter this weekend.

I ripped out the engine harness (or ECU harness, as i like to call it since not every engine piece is on it). And i trimmed the wires going to the Altenator, nothing else.
