More Temp Gauge Problems

Ok, for those who don't know my dilema, I installed a Nordskog digital Water Temp gauge. It sucks. So yesterday, I recalibrated my TPS, and did some other stuff. So I take it for a 20 minute run. I get the temp gauge to read 276!! So I get it home, pop the hood and stick my finger in the coolant overflow tank. It is lukewarm to the touch, and there is a little bit of coolant in the bottom (approx 2 inces or so, ie normal). I hop back in, and turn on the key, but don't start it. The gauge reads 215. I turn it off, and IMMEDIATLY turn it back on. The gauge then reads 198. SO it dropped a matter of 17 degrees in literally 2-3 seconds. Not possible. The problem, the gauge is actually Cyberdyne, which was apparently bought by Nordskog Inc, so I can get no support. Their website is gone, and I need a new sender. I bought the gauge from a guy here on the forum (I do not hold him accountable) so wha tdo I do? Can I put some sort of resistor in-line or anything? Or do I have to get a whol new gauge set up? It was only like $65 for a new one, so no biggie.....>

"Steven, isn't this your father's car?"
"Um, nooo..."
Yeah, any suggestions on a brand? I need digital and black, seeing as my functioning A/F gauge is black and digital...

Ouch. I don't really want to spend $250 on a gauge. Any other options?

I am just tired of seeing 250 next to me. Even though it is wrong, it is still unnerving!! I checked out the Defi gauges, and $155 is a bit high (seing as I am saving up to get my body work done...all $2k of it!!)
