More strange noises. Wheel bearing?

The rumbling noise I get on the highway has gotten much louder, and now the car shakes between 50-65 MPH. The shaking is much worse under acceleration, is MPH specific and does not go away when I press in the clutch.

My "new to RWD" diagnosis is wheel bearing.

I understand the rears are pressed in. What's the easiest and cheapest way to replace these? Get new rear bearings for $20 some a piece and take them and the hubs to a machine shop?

Err...make that $43/piece from Rockauto. Any other cheaper place to get these, or am I just going to have to bend over?

Yes, thank you. I understand how to use the search feature.

I went ahead and ordered em through autozone. $29.99 per wheel minus 30% discount=really not that bad.

I hope the machine shop doesn't bend me over a chair putting em in though.

just ask several shops/stores. I think Syonyk has had a parts store (maybe Arnold Motor Supply, just ask him) press his bearings in for him, FREE. it doesn't take long or much effort to press them in so I doubt any fee should be higher than $20.

If you're going to keep referring to me in threads, please link me so I can at least correct the misinformation... Or just refer to me as "a friend." Kthx.

I did rear wheel bearings on a Daihatsu, which involved pulling the rear drums, taking them into a machine shop with the new bearings, and coming back in an hour and a half.

The bearings (set of 4 - inner + outer on each side) were $70, total. The machine shop time was $15, and they greased the bearings for me.
