More questions about my latest fc
recap: i got screwed over buying a running 13b-re swap and got a 13b-re sitting in a pile of crap and now im tryna find out if its running before i pull it and install it in another fc.
So upon my 2nd attemp of gettin it to run i realize the fuel pump wiring is the lord of all hackjobs and i need to touch a wire to the positive terminal of the battery to turn the pump on. So when would be the best time to turn the pump on to prevent flooding but still get a start?
I tried a dozen times today but later realized that the spark plugs were only hand tight(my fault) and maybe that could have contributed.
Also there is a small plug on the passenger side strut tower with 2 slots that the PO had a small jumper wire inserted into, what was the purpose of this
(i remember seeing it on here before).
I have spark and fuel entering the motor but it only kicks over with starting fluid so im guessing my timing with the pump is bad or the loose spark plugs caused a problem.

IIRC, it should run the pump continuously even with the engine off, but with the ignition on.
Useful in getting air out of the lines following any work on the fuel system.
Also useful for tracing fuel leaks.
