more power, i hope

im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place, i have a 86 n/a and i have exhaust, intake, pulleys, magnecore 10 mm wires. im not really sure what to do next to make some more power. i dont want to turbo it, and im not really sure what to do. should i tune my ecu or something? please, any suggestions?

the best mod ive done to my car is porting the uim and lim. but what i do to my car is not very practicle for the average driver..lol there is a ton you CAN do if you want it just depends on how comfortable you want to be and if you want to pass emissions.

POrting the engine would make you fail, yes. POrting the UIM?LIM wouldnt as there would be no way to prove you did it. Extrude Honing the intake could help pick up some extra power, but without porting the engine you arent going to get much for your dollar.

Nitrous is probably your best dollar-hp bet.

Man.. .emissions is a drag. Stupid california. heh.

Also.. manifold porting on a N/A.... performance gain is negligible.. The only time porting manifolds will REALLY help is if your engine is ported as well.

Probably about another 15 peak HP on most stock port non turbos. I did it on my last couple non turbo motors.

a good light porting and get something to tune your fuel curve. just tune it and it will be sweet.

A lightweight flywheel, though technically will not give you any more power, will increase performance. I love my racing beat aluminum flywheel.

a 50-75 shot is definetely going to be the best bang for your buck. If you decide to go that route though, do the research and take the time/money to set it up properly. My friend is in a simuliar situation. His final mod, soon to come, is going to be a carbonfiber driveshaft. We'll see how that works out...
If you really want to improve your performance though, you should focus on your suspension. A pair of nice coilovers, i.e. sylkroad etc. will turn your FC into a new beast!!
As far as tuning your fuel curve, I heard JET has the tools to reprogram the stock ECU... not sure exactly what they do though...
