More boost w/o solenoid?

More boost w/o solenoid?
i dont have a boost solenoid, right now its just looped, and it only boosts the stock 6-7 lbs. is it possible to up the boost without having the solenoid? is it as simple as having to put in a man. boost controller or do i have to do anything special cuz of the lack of boost solenoid? thanks in advance
