Well, here's the deal, i can get a 10th anniverity for about $400 with a blown engine, paint job needed and need the leather redone, here is the thing, part of me wants to restore it cause its a anniversity edition, but then again i am a car nut and will want to make it better . What do u all think i should do? mod it or restore?

I bought my 10th AE with the intent to restore it...But the temptation to mod it was just too much...Next thing I know, things like boost controllers, exhaust systems, ACV block-offs, and god knows what else, start showing up on my doorstep.

I just cant say no...

as long as your mods don't make it so the car can never go back then do what ever you want. when you start getting into ultra custom jobs, then you destroy a peice of history. I really hate it when i see a car like a Corvett Stingray that has been all cut up and modded to fit an engine that is way too much, or cut up to look "pretty". This can never go back. it will never be the car we fell in love with again.
Mods like a new computer and intake, mabey exhaust and such are fine. that is just working out the bugs Mazda didn't.
Restore it so it looks mostly stock, then squeeze all the power out of the design you can.
have fun
