Arrow monsterous backfire on cold starts

3 cold days in a row
3 attempts to start my fc
3 enormous backfires that echo trough the neighborhood and had people opening their doors in scared curiousity.

It also takes 3-5 attempts to get her started to begin with. Is this normal? Is there anythign I can do to help it?

ACV might be bad. I disconected it and most of my backfires stopped.

I have the exact same issues, except i'm s5 turbo no emissions. Runs like a champ once it's warm.

MIne too, im starting to think its a common rotary thing. When is atrted this morning it took 3 tries and a backfire, warmed up and ran fine. Four hours later i watched my friend start up his rx-2 (13b-re) and it did the EXACT SAME THING. Im just accepting it for the way things are.

My 13B-RE does it when it's been a long time I haven't start the 7. Pretty scary the first time I heard it. It's probably a haltech thing ? It's not well tune yet.

Mine does the exact thing, except the backfires aren't extremely loud. 87 GXL.

I have to try and start it 3-5 times.. and I have to give it some gas after it gets started to keep her running for about 2-3 minutes until she's a lil warmer... then I let her get to operating temp and she purrs like a kitten... after that.. all other startups are normal till i leave it sit in the cold again for a few hours...
