87sport ......
- power NOTHING(except steering)
- 5 lug
- t2 suspension/brakes
- no cruise control
- although there are not too many out there.... sunroof(optional)
- rubber black wing that actually functions..
- no rear wiper.
- a/c

all i can think of off the top of my head right now. only made in 86-87
the gtu soon took over in 88 basically being the same but just a tad diff..

Yeah it was optional on S4 cars and standard on S5 (just another thing they did to make the S5 cars more cushy).

All S4 that had PS had Speed sensitive PS!
But the S5 had the RPM and Speed sensitive PS. The S5 TII had Speed sensitive (maybe a few other models)and the others RPM sensitive!

No, as you can see on the 87 features posted above, some S4 cars didn't come with power steering at all.

It was an option on the S4 T2, as well as the S4 base and S4 luxury models didn't get it at all.

Now you were correct in that the S4 cars that did get power steering did get the vastly better vehicle speed sensing steering, however the T2 came standard with that VSPS in the S5 cars. The remainder of the S5 cars got the simpler and cheaper engine speed sensing power steering (no wonder so many S5 owners want to rip out the steering and put in manual racks).
