MOBILE 1 or ROYAL PURPLE:POLL

just curious to what is used most. I dont need to hear the arguments about not to use it. I have before and that was back in the eighties and I had no problems then.

I just want to know what you guys are using that actually use it. either one

also list the weight. I live in Louisiana and it hasnt gotten below 25 this year. I am about to change oil agian in new car just for the sake of cleaning out old junk.

I usually use some non-synthetics because you have to change the oil so often. Kind of a waste to use synthetics. But if you really wanna bust out the money to get synthetic... i vote for Royal Purple. It seems Racing Beat really trusts it... so it can't be bad at all.

well I know it is "expensive" but I have used it in all my cars over the years and I always thought the engine ran smoother in all of them

I use mobile1 15w50. TandR Racing built my engine, its what they put in and use in their cars so its what I continue to use.

Mobil 1, due to availability. Hard to get RP here.

My turbo is oil cooled only, so I prefer a good oil

I've used RP since I replaced the motor, and it's been running awesome! Not to mention the little bit of smoking stopped.

Both of those brands have worked fine in race cars over the years. The problem is that it is a waste of money to use synthetic engine oil in a street car.

I have used both of those brands of synthetic grease over the years with excellent results. However, I have not tried either of those brands of gear oil because I tried Red Line first, and have found no reason to try anything else after about 15 years of good results.

I use mobile1, not because is better than the other, it's the less expensive one from all others ($20 for a 5 quarts bottle at Walmart). I would love to use Red Line, but its to damn expensive
