mobbin on the freeway when...

All of the sudden, take my foot off the gas, but the car keeps accelerating at wot. i put it in nuetrall and the revs shoot up to 8k. i shut the car off, while trying to negotiate trafic, and slow down, with no brake booster. the car just stays at wot now...wtf? i looked at the tb linkage, and it seems to be functioning...mabye the plates them self are stuck open? i dont know but i have to get it fixed in time for school in 8 hours. HELP!

take out the two bolts holding the intake to the TB and check to see if the butterfly's are stuck or not.

Stuck throttle cable - notorious if you just messed with the upper intake manifold.

Else, something jammed the TB open...it should be obvious.

j/k but Ted is probably right, check the cable before you start dismantling stuff.

also check that the OMP linkage is not bound up and sticking the throttle.

looked at it today in the light. looks like the throttle cable is unravleing on the tb linkage. but i dont understand why that would make me wot all the time. doesnt it pull on the linkage to open the butterflys?
