Moar powerz!

My FC is going to be used for Daily Driving, and drifting (on occasions).
It's n/a and I'd like to make it a little bit faster.
So far: (performance wise)
Rebuilt 13b with 32k on the small street port
wired open 6ports
intake and exhaust.

What else can be done to make it quicker? I'm not looking to gut my full interior car.
I plan on doing a full tune up in the near future. 02 sensor , just replaced a couple months ago as well.
But am stumped on what else I can do. I've searched a little bit and seen a few things pointing towards carbs, but i've read mixed things about it.
Just looking for some ideas or if theres anything else I can do w/out a swap!

a start would be making the ports functional again.

+1.

Don't go carb.

Is your air filter boxed in properly, so it doesn't suck in hot air? You've pretty much done everything you can do to an n/a. I'd look into getting an RTek ECU chip and take it to a dyno and play around with leaning it out (safely, wideband is a must). They run really rich stock, so this can help.

I'll give a look into an Rtek ecu chip, and come up with the money for some tuning and dyno time.

I already have a straight pipe, will look into headers for sure.
and yeah, ive lurked a couple pages on beefy n/a but havent came up with toooo much stuff.

Light weight pulleys, MSD 6AL-2, cut a hole in your bumper and drag a cold air intake from it to your motor, Meth/Alch, ITBs.

Keep in mind that the only ECU Rtek makes for an S4 NA would be the stage 2 which will cost you quite a bit more.

i don't think I've ever seen an rx7 with ITBs, I can't even remember seeing a kit. Did the people who did ITBs just use motorcycle TBs or something, I'd be Interested to see how they did it, does anyone have Any links??

Think about how much money the mods you want are going to cost, and then think about what sort of hp gains it will produce. In the long run a turbo swap might be your best bet if you're mechanically inclined and willing.

I just got back from the dyno last night. Right now im all stock with the exception of a full 2.5 inch custom RB exhaust (header to muffler) and an safc (to adjust rich conditions). With the gutted cats my car dyno'd 135 ish. Now with the RB and SAFC its at 145Whp with 123Tq. I still havent done much in the way of intake. But its just to give you an idea. The RB is the collected single.
