Mixing synthetic and regular oil

Can I mix both types of oil? is it ok?

as long as both oils are SH or better you should be fine in mixing them

Make sure also that the oil weights are the same. (example: both are 10w30) Using different oil weights is not ok.

he's probably asking because he has synthetic in the motor and wants to top it up - or change the oil back to conventional...

There were a numer of threads started by a bunch of dips who said you can't switch between one or the other because you'll blow an engine - LMAO
