Missfire

this one is weird as hell. at first i thought it was my spark plugs i replaced those. still continues. replaced the wires. still continues. let me try to explain this. its very intermitent. when i start my car in the morning it will do fine. i drive 30 minutes to work. i work from 3-9 then when i get off it does alright until i get close to home. it happens more often in low gears. its like the timing is off or something. like i can give it gas and the rpms will stay the same while the rotors are still attempting to do the stroke cycle. if i drive anywhere then turn my car off it will do it when i turn my car back on. it has started to do it in 4th and sometime 5th. its getting progressively worse. the owner before stated that he rebuilt the engine. I HAVE ALSO UPGRADED FUEL. i went from plus to supreme. a friend said it may be the fuel pump but my fuel pressure gage is consistant when it happens. another rotary friend said it may be some sensor that is near the throttle? also this misfire never happens when i just rev it. only under a load. any suggestions? tests? ideas?

thank you

Did you replace the spark plugs with new ones? It really sounds like spark plugs to me.
