Misfiring While Switching Gears? ....

HELLO HAVE U GUYS EVER EXPERIENCE THIS ON UR N/A ?? OR TURBO? HOW DID U FIX THIS PROBLEM? The problem is this:
while switching gears at around 5500 rpms in 1st, to 2nd, 2nd to third, third to 4th and 4th to 5th, i can hear a loud knocking noise when the procedding gear engages. like boom ( is pretty loud ) sometimes smoke comes out. the smoke part im not to worried about;the noise is what bothers me? could it be the clutch?
P.S. the car is not warmed up when i take it up to 5500 rpms.

What kind of exhaust do you have. It sounds like its just backfiring. No problem, they all do it.

Btw, i wouldn't rev that high until the car is warmed up

well, the rusted out part just makes it more noticable, but as far as i know you cant stop it completly, besides, its a good way to scare the neighbors. if a friend follows you while you drive, he'll probably tell you that there is fire coming out! fun stuff.

Atleast we're in agreement with that

Let the car warm up before you really get on it

I let the car warm up for about 5min. at least and when I get out the driveway I like to take it to 4k rpm. But just starting it and gunning it is bad man. You could blow your seals before you have enough cash to rebuild. Be careful
