liquid tape and rewrap

crap, now i feel like one of the RCC idiots is going to come here and bash that and tell you that you need to build a whole new harness..

the ground ring is for the ECU, you should clean it up because it's looking rather nasty.

What's a better place to ground that if that is ecu ground I'm not going to bother ripping intake manifold off if that is the ecu ground

And would the exposed injectors wires cause intermittent firing?

the injector ground is located on the engine below that one, both could be problematic. there is no best place to put it aside from a nice clean, well grounded surface.

the secondary injectors only fire above 3800RPMs, unless one of the black/white wires was shorting to ground it should not be the cause of the issue.

True forgot they only fire at 3800 ....my problem is everywhere

Well I will still do ecu injector ground and clean and hopefully fix aux ports. I'm going to replace with cleaned injectors anyway, member on here really helped me out on price so it's worth the peace of mind if nothing else..

Just took car for a nice lil drive an it's worse than it was and my clutch is done, catches literally right when the pedal is all the way up

Sounds like you got a bit of a project on your hands mate. Best of luck. Don't let it seem daunting. Step by step.

Also.. I ran it out of gas like an idiot...my gas gauge takes a **** after it hits Half a tank and I guess I thought it had more in it than it did, worst of all not thinking I tried to restart.

Hopefully I did not screw it up even more...

Gonna get some gas in her and try a water "steam clean" today

If ur injector wire is shorted it could be triggering the injector and flooding ur engine.
The black wire is hot and the green/yel is ground.

I think the injector fires when grounded but not sure. Ill look it up later.

light green is ground, the easy way to rule that out is to disconnect both secondary injector clips and drive the car. but i have never seen it happen, although it is possible.

I'll give that shot .....I assume what I will be looking for is the car to act the Same as it has been when injectors are unplugged?

if it is a stuck wide open injector(not likely but possible) then it should run normally.

Are you certain you have the plug wires going to the proper positions. Have you tried running the engine using just the lead coil?

i was also going to mention checking the plug wires but it wouldn't be an erratic issue, it should run like *** all the time with the trailings crossed.

You can ohm them and compare to spec. And you should download the ECU pinout and go through each pin w/the multimeter and compare to the values listed in the chart.

So I've been driving the car as my daily now because of certain circumstances.......

Anyway I did not want to jinx myself at first but it has not misfired for almost 2 weeks and ive been driving it alot!...only thing I've done Is run 2 bottles of off the shelf fuel system cleaner not sure if that did it or just driving it did but it seems to be fine, pulls to redline smooth....maybe just ran through some bad gas?

So hopefully it stays that way for a little but either way I'm getting some money so I'm going to replace alot!

Bad gas is possible. When I had my diesel land rover, I was having horrible issues with acceleration when cold, stuttering, hard starting, all sorts of issues. Continued to trouble shoot while driving. Finally ran through my tank of gas, filled it up and ran perfect. Turns out the gas station on base in England had gotten a bad batch of diesel.

Well I went through a couple tanks of gas with the problem but like I said I started driving it regularly and it smoothed out.
