Microtech + SAFC?

Was in the process in getting some things to help increase my mpg and someone brought up the fact that I already have a microtech installed in my car. Now I don't know the full potential of the Mirfcotechtech, but will getting a SAFC be kinda redundent?

Your Microtech unit is a full EMS thus a complete replacement for your stock computer and is nearly fully customizable thus making the limited tuning abilities offered by the SAFC entirely obsolete.

etrips you're a lucky guy if you bought that car with that ems standalone already in it.
now go get that thing tuned. you should easily get 25-30mpg afterwards

Is there like, a list somewhere displaying all the capabilities of a microtech? Does it have a built in wideband and automatically adjust the AFR's and timing? id like to see a list of everything it does

In my experience its hard to get great gas mileage out of a microtech. The resolution is just not there...

Ah, no you couldn't. The S-AFC intercepts the airflow meter signal. Guess what's missing...

ya i do feel lucky got a faily decent, not too heavily modified car for about 4k... So I'm content with my purchase Just trying to narrow down stuff of most relevence to get since im on a somewhat tight budget and need to improve my mileage as priority as well as taking it to a rotary specalist to get it comepletly looked over.

I am somewhat disappointed... can you just lie to me and tell me;

It was your birthright name that you did not discover until you were 14 and you woke up one night in a cold sweat. The moon was full outside and shown down through the slats in the shade. You looked into the mirror and saw letters. A name and it was written in reverse so as to look normal through the mirror, written in dark coagulated blood. Unable to understand you ran your hand through your hair as you felt the damp mass of it stick together. You withdrew your hand in horror as the slits of moonlight illuminated the crimson stains in perfectly parallel lines. You felt sick and lunged forward to reach the bathroom before making a mess only to feel momentum take it's course and have gravity drag you downward into the hard floor underfoot. Before identifying what it was that had ensnared your foot and tripped you, you realized you were making direct eye contact with someone else in front of you, only the eyes were cold and lifeless. You snapped back as you got tingles up your spine, the face stared miserably right through you as the tongue lay slack on the floor. A trail of ants had collected around the mess of saliva and dried blood that seeped down into the from the crack of her lips to the cracks of the floorboards. Wretching yourself backwards so as not to look anymore you collided with another body which had been strewn about the floor. Beginning to cry out of desperation you wiped your eyes smearing about the blood and hazing your vision with a deep scarlet hue. The other bodies stared up through the ceiling motionless as they lie as no living person lies, with arms twisted behind their backs or legs bent backwards. Your fingertips stung as the salty tears began to work their way into the cuts. The nails were bent outwards and snarled to the point that some had been ripped right down to the roots. Looking up once more the letters emblazoned upon the wall called out towards you, underneath the smears of blood could be seen deep rifts and gouges with chunks of nail and skin protruding. D E Z E R T E, the last word which would come to pass as a reliquary for the family that in one night was completely wiped out,.....save one boy,....who was never found.

See, that kind of explanation would have been perfectly sufficient .

Actually that doesn't even matter. The MictoTech has considerably better resolution than the S-AFC, so attempting to use it to improve mileage would be a step backwards. Silly idea...
