which part, the entire shifter or the ****? The **** will be dependant on the thread pitch, i would imagine they are the same though...

As for the shifter... I guess im at loss, why are you wanting to rape in into your FC tranny, is it that much better?

i have a miata shifter in my FC rite now. Works fine but you have to space the shifter bracket up a little.

come on now, u don't really need pix for this. It's teh same as removing your stock shifter, but when you put the miata shifter in, you gotta just space the bracket up so that the extended length of the lever doesn't bottom out in the turret.

I wanna see how short it is.......and then my plan is to convince my gf to buy a short shifter for her miata and then keep the stock one for myself!!!

Is sounds like a half way short shifter.

How much did you have to raise the lower bushing?

it only feels a liiiittle shorter to me. But then again, i'm still shaving down the bushing for the bottom ball so it will fit into the turret properly. So right now, there's quite a bit of play since the ball at the bottom of the miata shifter is much smaller to accomodate the bushing. I've seen aftermarket short shifters for the FC, and their spacer is just HUGE compared to mine. Mine is only about 3/16". i think the aftermarket spacers are liek a full inch.
