Miata cd-player in 89 GXL?

I want to keep the stock look for my rx-7 on the inside and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can just put a cd-player (factory) from a miata into my 89 GXL?

You CAN do it....if you have both wiring diagrams. It would be rough, but I'm 100% sure its possible.

Actually, if they fit, it would be VERY easy. What you'd need to do is go somewhere that carries METRA harnesses. Then get the RX-7 female plug (same as ANY CD harness) but then, a MALE Miata plug. I KNOW that METRA sells these. after you do that, just wire it up, and put it right in.
