Is it me?

Since I've been restoring this car I think I've repaired EVERY common problem on here except maybe the pulsation damper. Let's see, I've resoldered and repaired the ECU and CPUs, replaced all plastics inside, resoldered the idiot lights, replaced the wiper switch—resoldering didn't work, replaced the transistor on the ECU to repair the BAC, regrounded the boost sensor, engine, battery, ECU and injectors (ECU side). I've repaired the sunroof and replaced the crappy window seals. Regrounding fixed my 3800 rpm hesitation and my high rpm hesitation. This car has had ALL of the common problems. My mantra: THANK GOD IT'S NOT ON THE ROAD YET. Has anyone else had pretty much all of the problems?
I think the worst part is finding the problem right after you fixed the previous one. The good thing is is that we have the forum. I guess I should be happy I'm not rebuilding!

I fear the problems my car will have when I get it running again. It was basically a junkyard worthy 87TII that I picked up. It was sitting in the back of this sleezy dealership w/ a blown coolant seal. I guess I'll find out though after I get the engine and get it runnin.

Now that I've got all the problems fixed—besides the front diff mount(!)—I really love it. I wish I was the one who bought it off the showroom floor! Maybe some day soon we'll be able to buy NEW 7s!

Fire Sux

Yeah dude, it REALLY sux to have the engine catch on fire! My engine was torched a week ago today and it took all last weekend (day and night) to fix it! I had to put it out with what snow we had left here in Duluth, MN. Luckily the fire didn't damage the outside of the hood, but the inside was BLACK! I was also lucky that a buddy of mine had an extra upper intake, lower intake, injectors, engine wire harness, vacuum lines, and pulsation damper he was selling and was willing to hook me up with a great price (Thanks Mike!)
Replace that ****!!!!!

DOH

I carry 2 fire extinguishers with me religeously.

I have one leaky water seal right now leaking to the outside of the engine, I am going to just re-torque the engine bolts when I replace my leaky transmission seals and 2 leaky oil lines.

Blah, I'll be back on the road within a week or 2.

My PD is good. My oil leak—it's so minor I forget to mention it…and fix it, is from my oilpan. New gasket in store. I think the las things I have to do are put in the stereo, finish the wiring on the ECU, finish the interior, put the new tires on, seat covers, register and insure. Getting down to street time!

BTW, finally met first person from the forum—westjaxvert—he's doing an awesome job on his 'vert restoration. I believe he's starting the rebuild on his 13bt for the 'vert!

Ya I just started on my TII. Am in the process of buying the stereo surround and would like to get new seats and carpet and the interior would be flawless almost. But the white face gauges all over will make it look better But I got like $10,000 or so to get the car up to the speed I want.
