I installed a Mazdatrix t2 aluminum drive shaft on my '87 turbo this afternoon. One of the front u-joint yoke ears on the shaft contacts what the FSM calls the cover and select lock spindle when it rotates. This is the littile plate under the shifter (item # 10 on page 7A-25).

I was wondering if this is a known issue with these drive shafts and if anyone else has run into this?
