mazdaspeed instrument cluster
hey guys, just after any info on where i can get my hands on an upgraded(higher reading)instrument cluster. I dont know whether or not mazdaspeed make them or some other company does. I have a jdm spec s5 turbo so the speedo only reads to 180kph. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I have the SPA Technique 9,000rpm tachometer/speedometer. It reads up to 999mph or 999kmh with a typical 0.05% accuracy, it has 3 user-programmable shift lights with optional external outputs, 0-60 timer, standing quarter timer, and max rpm recall. Unfortunately, the car isn't quite finished yet, so I haven't had a chance to try it out to give you a good evaluation.

If you want an entire gauge package, the AIM MXL is really nice. It is less expensive and easier to use than the competition. Many GT race teams dumped their Stack and Motec displays in favor of the AIM. This is what I would use if I wanted a fully-integrated digital dash. However, I am old and prefer individual gauges to a screen full of numbers.

The problem with running a different (calibrated) speedo (gauge) is that you need to replace the speedo gear in the trans to make it "read" correctly.
Just replacing the speedo gauge itself will not allow it to read speed correctly.
