Mazdaspeed GTC Widebody FC new pics

Here's the new front mount, I'd say it's as big as you can go, and still have airflow to the oil coolers.

Carl,

Looks good. How is the rest of the project comming? I'm working on Rev 2 of my manifold, should be ready in a couple of weeks

Then maybe I'll get around to painting the car. Maybe we should race to the paint booth?

Is that a spearco core? I've been looking for my new IC setup, just haven't found it yet.

Front view, Chris, do you still have the parts for the second Manifold? I just have to fab the IC pipes, and the exhaust. Steve Kan will tune the car on the 17th with the .81 Q trim T66. Based on my results we will see if I stick with that. I may also run a .68 ar version of your turbo for autocross, as it is a little laggy on my Supra(thougfh good for 700rwhp) Yes, it is a speaco core, 26x10x3 core, 33" overall. I got it from boost coolers on EBay. You can wheel, and deal with him, mine was a steal The 16x12/13" slicks fit with room to spare. I'll post more body pics today, or tonight.

13" slicks tucked into the rear fender. The final ride height will be a little higher.

Looks good Carl. I do still have the spare parts for the other manifold. I'm actually having a set of flanges cut to go with the tubes right now.

Have fun with Steve. He did a great job on my car. He is actually supposed to stop in Tucson on his way out to Ca to hang out with a few of us here. If I could get my new mani together by then I'd have him to a bit more tweaking and get my water injection going.

What are you running for Ignition and fuel pump? My RP fuel pump topped out and my Jacobs box didn't seem to be cutting it either....

I have a Bosch 984 in tank(loud), I also have the Big Aeromotive, and the BIG SX Externals in reserve, not to mention a couple of Walbros . I will be changing my fuel system when I install my Fuel cell, for total overkill. The Bosch should be O'k for now, as I will be looking to make ~450, no more, just fast spooling, and reliable.
I want to install water, or Meth injection in the near future as well.
For ignition I run 3 MSD6A with stock coils, and NGK Racing 115 plugs. Call me tonight about that Mani, I don't have my phone right now. I do not have any noticeable break-up up to ~30 psi. Carl

I disagree, I think his car looks positively awesome. It'll look so sweet once it's painted, I can't wait.

Damn that is badass bro.

I kind of want that front end now instead of the RE Anemia.

"Hideous" is pretty strong for a fender that maintains the stock sight lines AND fits a tire twice as wide as stock, but to each his own. Do you like stock fenders? Carl

Do you have a pic to get an idea of how wide 13" really is? I think the fender looks great for what it does as you stated. I hope zer0 knows the purpose of such a big fender was more for fitting a 13" wide tire than for looks.

It's hard to see except in person, but I'll post a pic. I'll also post one off the car, that is the best way to get perspective. This has a little more negative camber than the final alignment, do to being about an inch lower than the final ride height. Actually my wife suggested making some door skins to split the difference, and make the transition less dramatic. It tends to look exagerated in the pics though. Carl

Before anyone gets too worked up about the GTC nose, consider that it will only fit properly on a widebody, and that as you can see in the pic, there is about 6 hours in the nose to get it right. It was a fine starting place, but this one was so bad Chuck did not want to sell it. I have a half gallon of resin, and several square feet of mat, and fabric added to that nose. It is no longer made, perhaps Chuck would sell the mold to someone that wanted to take on a project. Carl

that should look nice when its painted and the body is smoothed out, looks like an awesome setup you got. btw get those muffler shields out of there, they are just dead weight and look ugly, unless you are using an exhaust exit out the back, but i dont see any so i figured it was a side exhaust setup.

Yep I've seen most of these pics before, and as I said...that car is SWEET. Anyone who doesn't like it, just wait till its painted. I know we all have our own tastes, but that car is hard to dislike...it looks like it would eat a Ferrari alive, and will probably turn more heads than one too.

Yea, Joe, that's what I get for posting mock-ups earlier, kinda steals my fire now. The difference is pretty much everything is actually bolted up/ moulded now. The suspension is done(nothing there before), the IC actually fits, and the T66 is bolted up, and ready to go. Let's see some Photoshop colors boys....
The exhaust will be Custom DP into a straight midpipe into an N1 single, or I will have the option of a Racing beat pre-silencer(in place of the mid pipe) if I cannot meet noise restrictions at a particular track.
The suspension is Racing Beat adjustable sways, Ground Control Advanced Design double adjustable dampers(~450lb rear/~600lb front), AWR adj. toe links, AWR adj. camber links, RB toe eliminator, full Mazda Comp bushing set, reinforced rear subframe, and a CP racing front triangulated bar if it will fit, otherwise that will be custom.
