Mazdaspeed Ground Wire Wires??

I was wondering if anyone has herd anything or used... MAZDASPEED GROUND WIRE WIRES. I saw them going on a site for $38.

Are they even worth it?

How easy is it to ground them better yourself?

i don't know does that look like good quality to you?

Sorry if i missed this post before. I searched the archive and came up with some random stuff.

Thank you and God Bless,
-Zach

looks like an ebay product. could be wrong though. I would think an ms item like that would be competively priced with hks and apexi in the 100-150 range.

You can buy your own cable and insulated ends from hardware store for less money. Just make sure you buy a good set of crimpers.

At the end of the day it's still just wire and connectors. That kit will work no better or worse than similar gauge cable and connectors bought from an electronics supplier for considerably less money and assembled yourself. The big connector in the middle is nothing more than a place to stick the brandname you're paying extra for.

man, I'll probably get some flames for this, but just clean up the grounds you already have...Mazda grounded most connections using the bolt and threads of the nutplate, not the actual chassis metal, and over time the threads tend to corrode, which increases the resistance of the current path...you can "manufacture" a like-new ground in the same locations just by die-grinding (carefully) or sanding the paint/ primer to bare metal, reattaching the cleaned-up terminals or plugs & bolt, then protecting any bare metal areas you got "carried away" with. Unless you have added components to the circuit that necessitate a larger ground conductor, installing all these big heavy cables is doing you no good, just adding weight to the car...O.K., start the flames

Weight should not be a consideration here unless you go totally overboard. I added four 8GA wires in the engine bay and some smaller ones at the ECU, and I doubt it all weighed more than a pound or two. IMO adding any more that that will have zero benefits.

You are totally right about cleaning up the stock grounds though. I'm sure most people's ground-related problems would be cleared up if the stock grounds were in as-new condition.

Offtopic but...

If this is a knockoff how do the people who sell it avoid getting sued?
