Maybe make a funny shaped shift ****
So my buddies girls civic had 240,000 miles on it and the clutch was completely shot. So in stead of replacing the clutch, we dicided to do a motor swap, and clutch too. So we did the swap in about 18 hours. Well after that my buddy has a thing where every motor swap we do he takes a piston from the used motor. Well he brought it in to George Webb's (a small restaurant franchise) and set it on the table. While i was playing with the PIST-ON, i thought to myself, what a fine shift **** that would make. If i welded a weed wacker piston or something that it would be kinda funny, But i would like your guys' opinion, WOULD IT BE A DISCRACE OR WOULD IT BE COOL?

Eh... I don't like it. BUT, with a little work, a rotor-shaped shift **** could be made. Rotor milled on top, that tapers down. Then a rounded triangular peice of acrylic or something. Easily done, but EXPENSIVE unless a large quantity was made.

I mainly think it would be stupid on a rotary powered car and I dont think it would be all that comfortable when doing alot of shifting, but go ahead and try it and let us know how it turns out.

Geeeeeez, you kids keep thinking you've come up with something new! Watch the movie 'American Grafiti' sometime and see the cool guy with the cowlick and ducktail haircut give a girl his shift **** - a REAL piston shifter - if you can think of it, it's probably been done before and better!
