We got up to 110 in my Step Moms Honda Oddysey before she sold it...

You see, if you're late to pick your kids up from day care, it's $50/minute...we were on the other side of town.

Needless to say it's the first time we've made it across town in under 5 minutes (right before they started charging).

Since were on this subject, I did 120 mph in my mom's Subaru Outback (97 model, 2.5 4 cyc, I think) racing a v-6 camaro, and I took him, too. Never saw the guy again.

Why is that?

The most I've ever hit was 88mph. Once it reaches 85, it starts to shake the steering wheel. As for hitting 100mph, I don't feel like having my car shake and then.....accident scene on I-4.

Probably because I doubt most of you attempt this on a track, which means you're being a god damn retard

If you get it to 85 and it shakes, simple solution-downshift into reverse, or fix the problem. At 120, I have a cigarette in one hand, a cell phone in the other, and I can drive on a straight shot with my knee. Settle down, I don't, but could. No shake or shimmy whatsoever. Fix it and then, wooooosssssssssshhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PEACE THE DOG

usually shaking at those speeds have to do with wheels not being aligned or uneven wear on the tires etc....

Check to see if your clutch is slipping at high speed.

You would be able to tell if the clutch was slipping. The revs would go up and the speed wouldnt. Also, my car was clocked at 131 with a radar gun at the track in Corpus Christi. It had 200,000 miles on the engine and nothing done to it but a wide open exhaust. Now, I can actually hold 135 (I figure 125 actual speed) on the speedo going up hill with the head lights up. Gotta love street ports.

Yep, it was also 100+ Degrees out side...I feel like my car's good for 15's or so, but then again I bought the car as is so for all I know it could be ported.

My thunderbird ran a 15.8/15.9@91 MPH and I couldnt beat my girlfriends camaro, I'm beating my girlfriends camaro in my rx7 so if that tells you anything.

You've also got to back-track and make sure everything was done perfectly, I've tested out the intake with the stock and aftermarket three or four times to make sure I wasn't screwing something up because it can and will happen, we just don't have dynos to proove it.

Mike Zeda made it (gentlejax2 I think), did a pretty good job I need to put some gaskets around there and maybe get a better filter because right now it has a 'REWorks' which I think I see an ARP logo real small below it.
