Hey guys, I've got a student helping me with a couple projects and we need to identify the materials for a couple parts. Part 1 is the plastic brace that goes behind the bumper cover. The middle has been broken out and I would like to find out what material I can use to repair it, or I might try to model it and see if we can make a sheetmetal pattern to replace it. Its got glass fiber for reinforcement, but I couldn't find a stamp that said what kind of plastic it was. This is possibly stamped on the middle piece that mine is missing.
The second part is the lower intake elbow for the turbo inlet. I would like to know what kind of rubber was used to make it. The only markings I could find were the Mazda part number and a flower symbol pictured below. I tried looking up for JDM parts manufacturers with a flower symbol and all I could find was Sakura rubber in Osaka which was a merger of two previous companies. From what I found, these guys make motor mounts and bushings, I didn't see any listings for intake parts. If you know what kind of rubber this is made of, or what would be suitable for this application, please let me know.
