Mandrell bends for intake....

hi guys I remember you all sometimes saying you can buy pre-bent mandrel bends somewhere. My question is where? I am planing to make a cold air intake but I want mandrel bends not crimp ones. I am looking to price it at 175 with K n N filters for the AFM and the air pump.

I got some mendrell bends from a local exhaust shop, I was told most of them can get them for you. The place I went to could get 15 deg, 30 deg, 45 deg, 90deg and 180 deg bends

This is not meant as an insult or barb, but:

Anyone else feel uncomfortable with the fact that someone who cannot find mandrel bends via a Google search is going to produce parts for our cars?

I have a firm belief that only very knowledgable people with years of experience should become a vendor.

Aaron I can find them but all the damn people that make them that I found also the one banzi posted are charging like 30 dollars for one bend. I would rather have people help me find a provider of them that sells them at a better price than that. I fI were to buy from the first vendor I saw(summit) I would have to sell the damn intake for close to what check point sells for. I am trying to sell this for under 200 dollars so I can be well below what check point's intake sells for.

And whats wrong with asking for help? If I don't know something I should ask about it instead of acting like I know everything and making a crappy intake with crimp bends or sharging the 250 dollars that CP charges.

I'm just saying that bends are such an easy thing to find...that's all I was pointing out. I am worried that you are biting off more then you can chew, and it's going to come back and get you in the ***. I've seen it before.

I was unaware at CP sells an intake. I know they sell a TID which is a work of art.

PS. Nothing wrong with asking for help. It's just not something I would expect from a vendor.

Yeah check point sells a CAI that is made of mandrel bent steel piping so I wanted to do it but charge less so people don't have to cut big *** holes into the body to put pipes in for their cold air boxes. I understand that I am doing a lot of stuff but this is what I want to do for you guys and myself. (I also hope I am not biting off more than I can chew)

So do I... If you think I'm hard on you, I'm 10X nicer then someone who is unhappy with a product.

Oh, the CP I was thinking of is CP Racing in Ontario, not "check point"...Two different companies...

I found some companies already that have cheaper prices so thanks anyways. Now I have to call my dad for his welding machind (he will do the welding not me) lol

www.jcwhitney.com sells aluminized tubing in mandrel bends, which is very reasonably priced.. I got some for my custom intake, I will post pics when done.
