I've opened a friend's 87 with my GTUs key, I assume it works bothe ways.
If someone breaks into my car (which any good thief could do easily no matter what kind of alarm or lock you had) I'd much rather him take the radio or something than the car.
This thread is scary, lets restrict it to RX-7 owners only or something .

I had a locksmith open my car in about 2 seconds with a device that spread open the window trim the outside, popped it open voila $50 was gone from my wallet. Wanna get into a car in less that 2 seconds,,,,,it's called "Tinking" it requires Porclein from Spark Plugs, a balloon, and a cut 20oz soda bottle, I won't say any more. BTW locksmith did the passenger side, if that makes any difference, I guess on most cars they have less devices.

My key open the door to some dude's car in San Antonio...had a red S4 identical to mine. Well, I unlock the door and get in and was about throw the key in the ignition when I hear this growl...scary...he left his doberman in the car...

But the dog was a big ***** anyway and the guy saw me...thought I was trying to steel his car until I explained it to him...then we sat an talked for about an hour.

mine was like that

it's just a matter of getting your locks recoated.

it gets worn down over the yrs, so that means ANYTHING can open it..

did it to mine and only my key and my spare will work

i could get into locked ford probes faster than most people could with a key. My friend had one and he always locked his keys in his car and he showed me how to get in. so easy. all it takes is a pull of the window it pulls away from the car easy and u stick ur hand in there and unlock the door. Ive never tried it on any other cars but i imagine that any car that doesnt have a metal top part of the door that the glass goes into would be easy to pull out and do the same thing.

I think it has to do with the teeth on the keys and the grooves in the locks both wearing down...I can unlock all of my FCs with one key and start two of them...when they start...I just killed a mouse with a paintball gun...

What do you guys think of the AutoLock?

Is it effective? I know the Club is practically useless but I've heard stories that there are ways to get around the Autolock.

When I first bought my car I noticed this wierd box with a keyhole and a metal rod going toward the engine bay that was mounted by the driver side foot area. I was like hmm what is this.... when you lock it the engine wont start.

What do you guys think of the AutoLock?
I have one. I seen a thread on here where this guy had an auto lock and nothing else and got brocken into and they simply cut the clutch pedal and stole all his ****. Most cases are people that know whats in your car or walk by and see all the ****. So id say dont keep too much **** on your car, and dont let the whole world know whats in your car these are keys to not getting **** stolen. Also FC's are gernerally not stolen cuz they dont have any real value compared to other cars out there like Accords, camary and such. So the only real way to get it stolen or things out of it is if ppl know about your car.

As far as the key fitting in other peoples cars you could always do what they do in Puerto Rico .

They use the round key locks that are used in coke machines or vending machines .

if i'm not mistaken they also did the ignition.
i hope some of you know wich im talking about

I had someone steal my dual bandpass and amp and stereo and **** once. I fixed the problem by making the stereo a quick-disconnect clip and building my amps and everything into my speaker box. I'd just take my **** in with me at night.

PRMaz- they sell those things at Pep Boyz now-
wouldn't help me though, except on the ignition- all they gotta do is slash the top.
