Question Making major changes!!!....HELP!!!

I need some help. I'm looking to eliminate the coolant going through the throttle body on my turbo2. What are the pro's and cons of this? I'm in the middle of doing a haltech stand alone and have decided to fabricate a new intake manifold and I don't want to use the stock throttle body. Should I run the coolant outlet straight into the return? or can I just block these off? I'm also looking into using the Haltech idol stabalizer solinoid, have any of you used one of these before?

Also does anyone have factory ignition timing maps?

Ok, I know nothing about the Haltech install. So here it goes.

If you want to stop coolant from going through your TB then you want to complete the throttle body modification. That will take care of that and it will also remove the secondary throttle plates leaving you with just one set.

I am sure plenty of people will say the stock throttle body is just fine. If you don't like it port it. That will probally make you happy and work just fine. I believe if you go with a Haltech you will have to make your own throttle posistion sensor brackets because the stock ones don't work.

Do a search to learn about what I have talked about.

Good luck.

I am not going to keep the factory TB. I'm going to use a gm style that already has provisions for the T.P.S. and flows 1000 cfm, this combined with alot more plenum volume and a much better flowing intake manifold should be worth some power I think. This will be a prototype for a kit that im thinking about developing.

I simply need to know how to eliminate the coolant. I will search on the TB mod.

Thanks.

Do a search on "throttle body mod". Also check out Ted's website.
