MAJOR bogging problems! Help please

Ok so I like to pretend I know what im doing but this time change this, change it back if it didn't work has got me stummped right now. So where I stand is I have a 88 GXL 6 port. I got a RB header, RB presilencer and straight exhaust HKS hiflow muffler. My 6 ports are working of a mechanical airswitch I made off the air pump and starting to open at 3000rpms and fully opened at about 4000 not perfect tunned but better than not having em at all. I also have the plate (I think its called the EGR block off plate) but its the one in the middle of the two little actuators I heard it helps so I put it on since I dont need emissions. and I also premix slightly for ease of mind. Anyways now I have no power after 3000rpms and at 5000 rpms it sounds like im hitting a rev limiter or getting a fuel cut, but in nuetral i can rev it fine and dandy like it should all the way to 8k if I want it to. My buddy mentioned something about limp mode but I have no idea. Im just letting it sit till I get some good feedback.

So now its sputtering in high accelerating rpms about 4-7, so im leaning towards fuel pump or ignition, is there a way to test the ignition, and I have a 89 vert parts car will the ignition stuff work on mine or is there different specs for some reason or different plugs and stuff.
