Exclamation MAF problems... HELP!!!!

What are the symptoms of a bad MAF. i have a new one being shipped to me and i am 99.9% sure that mine is bad, but i want a 3rd party opinion. i cannot give my car more than half throttle past 4k rpms. and it gets worse every 5-10 minutes of driving until i MUST shift at 3 and 2k rpms with barely 1/5 of its throttle otherwise it chokes out, giving me NO POWER AT ALL. sometimes its so bad i cant drive my car, and i usually have to let it rest for 10 minutes after 10 minutes of driving. whats even weirder is if i unplug my MAF my car will die. i have done all of my necessary maintenance since i have had my car. i have replaced the Plugs and wires, new air filter, oil change, new oil filter, new fuel pump, my fuel pressure is ok usually around 40-60 psi i think, whatever is normal. and other little stuff like wiper fluid lol. but anyways i dont want to get this new MAF installed and my car do the same ****. any insight on this?

No ****, your car dies when the MAF is unplugged? Must be cause it isn't getting any info for the ECU.

OK sorry about that... go to the FAQ section of the archives. Download the Service manual for your care S4 or S5. There is a procedure to test the maf.
