mad oil leak!!!!

Hey i have a 1988 GXL N/A i got an inspection on the car wghen i first got it about 2 years ago and the guy said it was the cleanest underbody of a rotary he has ever seen. now it started to leak oil. i have to refill it every few months. I only have 120.000 km on it and its all originall.
i have taken off the plactic part under the car and washed it all then tryed to see where its all coming from but i cant exactly tell. but i know its from the front porton of the motor.

anybody have this problem? anybody know how i can tell for sure where its coming from? or should i just pull the motor? and look.( i have to install a clutch to)???

thanks for all ya help!

You should be changing the old every 3000k or so, and rotary's are designed to burn oil, so it is natural that you should be losing oil.

check omp o-ring...could be front main seal...front cover gasket, oil cooler line......omp ring would be nice, easy to do...mine was leaking before and I was losing oil at a rappid rate. If you have the money...they make a dye you can put in your oil, and then you run the car and shine a flurocent bulb and you can see where the oil is leaking from by the dye...pretty cool stuff..oil leaks blow man!

go to your local auto suppliers (ie shucks, auto supply, etc) I've never seen it for sale their before but I'm sure they can get it for your or direct you somewhere. Although you should be able to find it yourself, just with some patience. It can't be that many things....just locate an area, you said the front of the car. First thing I would check would be oil pan, omp gasket/o-ring, oil cooler, front main seal, front housing gasket, oil cooler line. Good luck man...

Just remove the lower sheild, then clean everythging perfect, then run the motor.

Should be very easy to see where the oil is coming from with everything clean.

Get a **** load of engine degreaser, alot of rags, and a friend. Jack the car up and clean everything to hell. Then have your friend under the car while you start it, and see where its coming from.
