LUG sadness

I'm trying to replace the wheel lugs on the left rear wheel and having some problems. One of the lugs was stripped so I needed to replace it. I banged out all the lugs, got most of them put back but two of the new lugs are loose. The others needed a LOT of help to get them seated in the holes but not these other two. They seat all the way in and don't ever get tight.
Any thoughts?

Thinks the person who designed the rear brake caliper should be bled to death with leaches.

hey i had the same problem, well i got new rims and used tunner bolts it ended up i couldn't get 2 of them tight, i took off the rim and the lug studs were striped, i had to use a tap and die to get it fixed now they are fine, so before u go trying to replace ur studs, try the Tap and Die

I think you are both missing my question here. The studs are OUT and I'm trying to get the new ones IN. Two of them are loosely fitting in the holes and can't be secured...

umm, just put the wheel on and tighten the lug nut to its proper toque. If the lug it still loose after you torque the nut and then remove it again, the hub needs to be replaced. The stud hole has been enlarged.

Basically, what he said. Sounds like you've tried that though. Are you sure the studs were the correct size? Otherwise, I think the hub is aluminum, don't know if that can be welded in some fashion, maybe.

In case anyone's interested, the lugs that wouldn't bite were, upon further inspection, ever-so-slightly different than the others. I'm swapping them out at the parts store when they get some more in.
