Which LSD do i need?

How do i find out my rear end gear ratio? I was auto, then i did a 5 speed swap with all series 5 parts, driveshaft, tranny etc. Which LSD would I need to go with ?

Assuming you didn't swap out the pumpkin, you still have a 3.9 final drive ratio. You need a GXL LSD or something similar, which will have a 4.1 final drive ratio. If you have the extra bucks, go for a GTUs diff and get the 4.3 ratio, and that's the basic breakdown.

How much is the GTUs' differential than the GXL's?

I really don't have a clue. I've seen the GTUs ones go for like $300-400. I'm not sure how much a 4.1 LSD goes for, but less I imagine.

IF you are going for a gtu tranny i think you would need a gtu tranny too. Or is recommend that you replace the tranny also. Because the GTU tranny is gear to compensat for the lower rear end. In my opinion i would get a s4 LSD because i like the clutch type lsd better.

I dont understand... if i get a GTU differential i need a GTU tranny? if i get a new differential I need to get a new rear end? icemark said all S5 verts had a 4.1:1 gear ratio. So does this mean I still need to change trannys or rear end when purchasing an LSD? This is kind of confusing.. I just want to know what I need to take into consideration when buying an LSD
