LSD for a 4 lug RX7 clarity
Can someone please tell me what parts I need exactly to upgrade my diff in my 4 lug rx7? Upgrade meaning put in an LSD into the stock pumpkin. I researched a lot but i couldnt exactly get a clear answer. I have an 87 4 lug FC. I know the right thing to do is prob just convert it to 5 lug parts but its too much work for what the car is.

I believe S5 axles are slightly different (or it may be the stub shafts), so an S5 diff may require more work.
If you want a Turbo differential, you also need turbo axles and a custom driveshaft of the same length but with a flange for the turbo diff on the rear rather than an NA flange. The Turbo flange has a wider bolt pattern. But this is extra expense and difficulty that you don't need if you have a NA car.
Now if you're dead set on installing an LSD into your existing pumpkin, I haven't done that. But you don't actually need to since all parts are compatible between the stock Open unit and LSD unit.

You can just install the stock LSD (the whole differential, pumpkin and all) from a S4 GXL model into the car. It should be a drop in change, the axles are the same between 4 and 5 lug models.
