Well if u wanna tell jack up the rear of the car and spin one of the wheels, if the other wheel spins in the same direction, you have a (working) LSD, and if they spin in opposite directions, then you dont have an LSD!

I was stuck in the ice earlier this week, only one wheel was spinning.......then i moved the car some from where it was stuck(but only to get it stuck again) then both wheels were spinning.
Is there something wrong with my LSD?

Honestly I dunno. Jack the car up like I said before to test it. Oh I see you have an S4...how many miles on it? Those S4 LSDs only last around 80-100K miles I've read. Has it ever been replaced? Might be time for a new one...
