Question lowering the rear end.

so i finally got my springs to work and i was noticeing that my rear end sits alot higher than my front. ive lightened my car alot but like 70% of the wieght i lost was in the rear. so i had an idea..... on the rear struts there are bushings that go inbetween the flat thing that goes ontop of the springs and the u shaped thing on the top of the dust boot. i was wondering if i took those bushings and put them ontop of the spring instead of under it it would make everything move down a bit. i know if i did work there might be a problem with the springs in the rear being more compresed than the front. and losing travel of the shok but other than that would it work? and if i did would i mess anything up? feel free to tell me if im retarded for even conidering it. but i was at work and was just thinking of ways to lower the rear a bit.

ps. sorry about the shitty pick but it kinda shows what im talking about.

strut cover is the one ontop of the spring or the metal piece with the two bolts that bolts to the body?

it should not look like that unless you didnt put the rear springs on. i had the same on an old 86. it should be half the space there

you can get away with cutting the rear springs. The front springs require some engineering though if you still want spring compression without just taking the springs off. I would not cut the s techs though... if you still have the stock springs just cut a few coils off of them and see what you think about it. if you dont like it then just keep the s techs on and save up for some coil overs.

that seems real high. not that i know what a FC3S on s-tech's is supposed to look like.
check to see if your springs are genuine.

How long ago did you get them put on id give it a couple months to give the springs time to settle... i have eibach springs and it's been 2 months and the car has actually settled lower than what it was supposed to im actually tucking my front tires and almost my rear with the stock 14's

that is what i was thinking, but wouldint the front and rear settle at the same rate and then the rear would still be higher?

If I had to guess by that... I would say your car has been in a collision.. Your subframe is probably bent and jacking the car up... (worst case trevor idea)

OR

Your rear shocks are hyper extended perhaps your car was on blocks for a while and the rear shock became "overextended and now they cannot compress..... (best case senario)

I suggest changing your shocks.

Also nice useage of mid 90's chrome honda accord Ex wheels......

Oh also... Your front tire looks bigger then the rear tire... So the gap looks worse.... Are they both 205 60 15?

Sorry for the angles but these are the only ones I have of when I had my 86 GXL on Tiens and tokico blues if it helps. I know mines set higher in the rear but not that high.
