I guess you're rich, cause you'll be replacing your rear tires every month or so...
...or you're going to crash due to the unsafe tire wear.

Rapid tire wear and unsafe handling are caused by excessive lowering, not cut springs. You could mess up the car just as badly with mega-expensive adjustable coil-overs if you lower it too much.

Not that I'm recommending any do it, but saying "cut springs will ruin you handling" is just like saying "fitting a bigger exhaust will blow up your engine"; both are very inaccurate statements.

So you're saying that "cut springs" is not the same thing as "excessive lowering"?

Of course it's not the same, that's a ridiculous leap of logic. I lowered my HB Cosmo 20mm by cutting the springs. How is this excessive when it's the same or less than aftermarket springs and a lot less than is possible with adjustable platforms?

aftermarket springs have increased spring rates to keep the car/suspension from bottoming out usually

I wouldn't.

Cutting a spring increases it's effective spring rate, but that's beside the point. Any excessively lowered suspension can bottom out no matter how you do it.

All the negative points being raised relate to cutting too much out of the spring. Pretty obvious...
