lower RPM power loss

I need some advice! When my car's running below 4000 RPM, it seems to have no power! When it goes past 4k, it feels like a power surge and the car runs normally. Any guesses?

if its a non-turbo and you just bought it, and it was like that when you bought it... a nickle says the 6-ports are wired open.... no go search for 6-ports

Several possibilities:

1: One of your primary injectors sucks ***
2: Your 5/6th ports are wired open
3: The 5/6th port sleeves have been removed

Umm, ok. I would go with your primary injectors sucking. Try switching the primary and secondary injectors around and see what happens.

1) Port wired/stuck open
2) Primary injectors stuck open or shitty spray form
2) welcome to owning an n/a.

They aren't different sizes on an N/A? You could accidentaly run lean below 3800, and above run rich by doing this...

err...

Is it rich below 3800 (a loss of more torque mind you) and lean above 3800...

ok... so i guess this means that this is the last time my buddy sticks his hands under my hood, but in the main fuse box under the hood.. the Amperages are supposed to read 30, 40, 30, 80, blank, 60, 30, right? I just looked under and the first 2 were switched. Could that have done anything?

Meh... I know mark would slash me on this one, but those amperages are trivial. So long as none of the fuses are blown and you don't have all higher-rated fuses in their, I don't see a problem. Of course unless you're modifying the stock harnesses... then you'll be more concerned.

Plus finding a shop with relay fuses suck.

Coincidentaly, while how well the car is grounded can affect its performance, those fuses won't unless one is blown. You would know pretty quickly when your car fails to run or your lights stop working or what not-- it will be obvious that a fuse blew.

I doubt your problem is grounding related. Though your car probably does need to be regrounded... I highly doubt its causing such a huge sympton (though absolute-**** grounds could.)

I would get the injectors cleaned-- if they are stockers, I guarantee they need it anyhow.

BTW... the fuses are covered in the FAQ... not to be an ***, but read the faq first and help yourself before you expect someone else to help you.

Seriosuly, there are hundreds of people that are willing to help you for FREE! But telling people the same thing day after day gets on the veterans nerves. We love a challenge... but stuff thats covered weekly is hardly a challenge... you'll get flamed if you don't try to help yourself before asking for help.
