Lower Radiator 2 Wire Sensor...?

I just installed my new radiator and the bung that was installed at the bottom of the radiator is not the correct size for the two wire sensor. What sensor is this? I know the water temp in located in the water pump housing. Is this sensor need when running a standalone?

It's also used for the Secondary Air Injection system...I doubt you still have it (it causes the computer to tell the ACV to always send air from the air pump to the relief hose to atmosphere while cold - under 15 degrees celcius).

Well I believe from this info that it is not needed at all at this point lol. I have the motor completely stripped down to bare needed sensors to run with standalone and running all of the block off plates for my T04Z setup... Thanks guys
