Lower intake mod
Is it advisable to remove the outer studs and thread them out so that I can bolt them in/out without having to remove the upper intake for servicing the aux ports later on?

Without going out and looking, I don't see how that would work. The oil injectors are a part of the lower intake manifold along with the single air feed between them for the fuel injector bleeds, so either I did not understand what you said, or it just is not possible, what with the oil injector lines etc. I probably just misread the post....again.

Opps I forget about those 2 oil lines, which I snapped 2 weeks ago taking the darn intakes pcs out. It's been such a long process to get to the nitty gritty, esp on a series 5, with them gazillion vac lines! It would've been nice if Mazda just made them even more modular so that we wouldn't have to take things off sequentially to get to the aux ports(ie those situations where one's in doubt about aligning the pins correctly) or ever so often gummed up actuating rods. Oh well, never mind about the entire post now that you reminded me, unless of course I go premix all the way.

your talking about the 4 studs that are on the intake manifold that go through the dynamic chamber/throttle chamber correct?
and then in theory you could just undo the bolts (instead of studs) so that the whole upper intake piece could just slide over a little?
Edit: right those lines would'nt really "slide over", oh well
